Stop 'Macros' for Online Reservations... Everspin Applies Eversafe to Ticketlink
2025.06.30
Amid rampant illegal reservations using macros or scraping in the online ticket reservation market, AI-based security company Everspin (CEO Young-bin Ha) announced on the 30th that it has applied its web security solution 'Eversafe' to NHN Link, which services Ticketlink, to fundamentally block illegal reservations and strengthen overall system security. Eversafe analyzes user access behavior on reservation sites and detects "abnormal movements" like automated reservation attempts or information gathering in real-time. An Everspin official explained, "It's a method that identifies and automatically blocks very fast clicks or searches, simultaneous access from multiple devices, and manipulated IP or browser info. Through such technology, we can proactively block indiscriminate reservation attempts using macros and scraping acts to extract price or inventory info." Illegal reservation attempts are mainly conducted by using automated tools (bots) to secure large quantities of tickets for popular performances or sports matches and then reselling them at premium prices. By filtering abnormal traffic in real-time at the start of reservations after applying Eversafe, Ticketlink has set out to protect legitimate users and build a fair reservation environment. Everspin pointed out, "Since the telecommunications company hacking incident in April, a hacking attack targeting an e-commerce site caused service failures, and major shopping and payment sites are being threatened. It's not just a problem of illegal reservations; cyber threats leading to user info theft, service paralysis, and financial damage are accelerating." Scraping and macro attacks both involve extensively searching or sending requests to sites in automated ways, impersonating actual user behavior to overload systems and significantly increase management costs. Automated illegal reservation systems induce unfair service use. Eversafe has become able to actively respond to illegal automated reservation tools by identifying automation-based traffic patterns and detecting/blocking them in real-time before they reach the server. An Everspin official stated, "Eversafe goes beyond simple firewalls or access control; it precisely identifies threats based on actual user behavioral flows and technical patterns. The Ticketlink case shows that web security technology already proven in the financial and public sectors is also being verified for its effectiveness in the e-commerce domain." Meanwhile, Eversafe is operated by numerous financial institutions such as NH Nonghyup Bank, SBI Savings Bank, Samsung Card, and Korea Investment & Securities, proving its performance, and has recently expanded its domain to e-commerce and fintech including Kyobo Book Centre and Hecto Financial.
