Everspin Wins Presidential Award at Korea SW Awards for AI-MTD-based 'Eversafe'
2025.12.02
AI security company Everspin (CEO Young-bin Ha) announced on the 2nd that its security solution 'Eversafe' won the Presidential Award at the '2025 Korea SW Awards' held during the '26th Software Industry Person's Day' ceremony. This is the second time Everspin has received a Presidential Award, following 2017. Eversafe is a technology applicable to both web and mobile, capable of responding to various hacking attacks like tampering and session hijacking, as well as automated attacks using AI bots like scraping and macros. It is also evaluated as an effective solution against the combined attacks of network-based intrusion and authentication bypass, which are increasing in the financial and telecom industries recently. Based on such technical power, Eversafe has been implemented and utilized across various industries in Korea, including Woori Bank, NH Nonghyup Bank, Samsung Card, Korea Investment & Securities, Meritz Securities, KB Securities, Korea Federation of Savings Banks, SBI Savings Bank, Acuon Savings Bank, National Tax Service, Kyobo Book Centre, Hecto Financial, and Ticketlink. Overseas, its implementation is expanding mainly among major local financial institutions like SBI Securities (Japan), Jago Bank, Bank Sumut, and BNI Securities (Indonesia). Everspin diagnosed that the cause of large-scale security accidents occurring domestically and internationally recently is often due to the absence of a proactive prevention structure rather than simple detection failure. It explained that combined and sophisticated latest threats are evolving into structural unit attacks where environment, configuration, session, traffic, and authentication are mixed, rather than attacks centered on a single vulnerability, making it difficult for existing detection/response-centered methods to handle the speed and complexity. Everspin emphasized that its core technology, AI-Moving Target Defense (MTD), is a structure that technically realizes a proactive prevention strategy. An Everspin official explained, "AI-MTD is designed so that the security module changes continuously, so even if an attacker attempts an analysis, the analysis does not continue and returns to the initial stage every time. This is a proactive security approach that does not allow attack conditions to continue rather than just simple blocking." Global research firm Gartner also selected 'Preemptive Cybersecurity' as a core item in its top 10 strategic technology trends for 2026 announced this year. Gartner predicted that responding after an attack occurs makes it difficult to handle modern threats and that 'prevention-centered security,' which removes risk factors before the attack stage, will become the future standard strategy. It also projected that by 2030, half of the security budgets of global companies will be spent on preemptive security. An Everspin official stated, "In the Eversafe structure, cases where the same type of attack is difficult to succeed have been repeatedly confirmed in actual projects. This Presidential Award win is a result of our technical direction being verified in the market."
