Everspin Takes Charge of Security for Japan's SBI Financial Group
2025.12.15
Everspin has been entrusted with the security of a mega-scale financial group in Japan. AI security company Everspin (CEO Young-bin Ha) announced on the 15th that it, alongside Japan's SBI Holdings (Representative Director, President & CEO Yoshitaka Kitao) and their joint venture SBI Everspin (CEO Jamie Yun), declared a three-way global security cooperation enhancement for strengthening the security of the SBI Group. This declaration is evaluated as an important milestone showing that Everspin has entered a full-scale business expansion stage in overseas markets. This cooperation enhancement declaration was established based on a large-scale integrated security contract signed by SBI Holdings and SBI Everspin to officially apply Everspin's solutions to the SBI Financial Group's company-wide security posture. Everspin will perform a core role as the provider of essential security technology for the project. This is the first time Everspin's technology will be applied company-wide to the security architecture of a major overseas financial group. It is a case where domestic AI security technology has been recognized for its practical competitiveness in the global financial industry. SBI Everspin CEO Jamie Yun, Everspin CEO Young-bin Ha, and SBI Holdings Representative Director, President & CEO Yoshitaka Kitao (from left) took a commemorative photo after signing the global security enhancement agreement. SBI Holdings and SBI Everspin signed a comprehensive security contract to strengthen the security governance system for the SBI Group's finance, investment, and platform services overall. Everspin's AI security technology will be introduced to group affiliates as a major component of this architecture. Additionally, Everspin, which holds a 30% stake in SBI Everspin, reported that besides royalty income received through SBI Everspin, it will be able to recognize equity method gains, leading to a virtuous cycle for Everspin's profits. This case is expected to be an important opportunity for Everspin's overseas business model to expand more broadly beyond simple technology supply. Everspin CEO Young-bin Ha stated, "This three-way cooperation is the first case where Everspin's technical power has been officially recognized in the global financial industry and will be the starting point for overseas business expansion. In the future, we will expand technology supply to major overseas markets such as Asia and North America as well as the Japanese market, strengthening global partnerships." The industry views this cooperation as having significant meaning for Everspin in terms of securing technology implementation cases for major overseas financial groups, building global-level references, and establishing a foundation for expanding cooperation with the future overseas financial industry. Meanwhile, earlier this month, Everspin won the Presidential Award at the '2025 Korea Software Awards' for its technical power in the AI-Moving Target Defense (MTD)-based web/app security solution 'Eversafe.' This is a case where the effectiveness of proactive security technology that neutralizes an attack itself in advance rather than responding after the attack has been officially recognized at the national level, and it is evaluated as presenting a realistic solution to large-scale hacking accidents that frequently occur recently.
