JT Savings Bank Checks 24 Million Apps via 'FakeFinder'... Results in 200 Deletions

JT Savings Bank has cumulatively and precisely inspected 24 million customer apps, resulting in the deletion of 200 malicious apps. JT Savings Bank announced today (26th) that since implementing the FakeFinder solution for safe non-face-to-face transactions, it has cumulatively inspected 24 million customer apps and has taken measures to delete or block 200 malicious apps to date. The FakeFinder solution is a voice phishing app detection service that blocks apps of unknown origin, fake apps, and tampered apps based on artificial intelligence. Previously, JT Savings Bank introduced the FakeFinder solution in January last year to strengthen security for non-face-to-face financial services and has been progressing with safety enhancements for customer transactions. Since implementation, 24 million customer apps have been inspected as of the end of June, and the number of malicious apps for which deletion guidance was issued reached 200. JT Savings Bank explained that it is playing a role in preventing financial crimes exploiting phishing apps targeting the peak periods of holidays like Seollal and Chuseok, ensuring safe financial transactions for customers. JT Savings Bank CEO Jun-young Park emphasized, "To protect customer assets, safe financial accident prevention covering both face-to-face and non-face-to-face is more necessary than ever." He added, "As the proportion of non-face-to-face financial services grows due to the development of IT financial systems, we will expand various digital protective devices so that customers can use them with peace of mind." JT Chinae Savings Bank, an affiliate of JT Savings Bank, is also collaborating with a financial security AI expert company to implement a prevention system for identity theft crimes and strengthen non-face-to-face transaction computer security.
